If you're thinking of joining, you should know what a bad month looks like. September 2025 is one of the two worst in my record, so here it is.
There were 34 bets. 16 of them won, and the month still finished 8.1 points down.
That sounds odd until you split it up. The place bets did their job. 14 of the 22 landed, and they lost about a point between them. The damage was the win bets. Only 2 of the 12 won.
The first fortnight was the worst of it. Night Tara went off at 1.97 at Southwell on the 4th and got beaten. Kalpana went off at 1.59 at Kempton two days later and got beaten too. Shumus, Bollin Neil and Zendiva all lost in the next five days. Treble Tee won at 3.55 at Doncaster on the 13th, and that was the only win bet that paid in the first three weeks.
Nothing was wrong with the rules. Short priced horses get beaten, sometimes several in a row. A win bet at 2.00 still loses about half the time, and runs of losers come in clumps more often than people expect.
October 2025 finished 8.6 points up, and November 19.1 points up.
I'm showing you this because the biggest mistake people make is joining in a good month and leaving in a bad one. If a month like September would make you give up, it's better you know now.
